Toolshed, loosely marshalled by Graham Massey, is a Foreign Legion of Manchester-based musicians, many also gracing Paddy Steer's Homelife. From ponderous Middle Eastern-sounding material to brass-heavy drunken Brazilian parade music, Toolshed are a musical reminder not to stick to just one diet. This brings to mind a Frank Zappa comment about the difference between 'good noodling' and 'bad noodling'; the word 'experimental' in Toolshed's world translates as 'daring' and 'exciting'.
